New dialogs not appearing as changed source

I have a problem with new dialogs (in an updated source dll) not showing up as a source change. The original dll only included one dialog which was resized, along with it's contents, for a translation. Now the source has changed so that the contents of that dialog have been spread across 3-4 dialogs. After using the Update Database option, the Project Overview pane shows the dll as still only including one dialog. It shows all the changes for that dialog (except what's been deleted from it) but it doesn't show the newly-added dialogs. Is it supposed to? What am I doing wrong? NB: If I remove the rwtxlf file from the source folder, it shows all the new dialogs but then of course I don't have any change information at all. And is a list of the items deleted from the original dialog supposed to appear anywhere? |

Looking at this again, I also notice that new controls on the original dialog aren't showing up as changed source either. They appear on the dialog but aren't tagged as new in the Changed Source pane. |

Some Changes Protocol files not being created

When running the "Update all changed" database update option with "Force update for unchanged source files", I find that changes protocol files are only created for SOME of the DLL files in the project (20 out of 34 to be exact). What could cause no changes protocol file to be created for the other 14 DLLs? I received the RC-WinTrans project back from translators, complete with the DLLs they had translated. I opened the project and ran the "Update all changed" option (without making any changes) just to see what it would do. Shouldn't it create a changes protocol for EVERY DLL in the project? |

Could this also be causing the problem posted here: (The problem DLL mentioned there is one of the DLLs for which no changes protocol file was created) http://www.schaudin.com/forum_srv/topic56-new-dialogs-not-appearing-as-changed-source.aspx?lastpage=1#post162 |

Error (175): The group number 89 does not exist.

After updating (replacing) all the DLLs in the source folder and running the database update option, I get this error when clicking on the "Dialogs (80)" tree-view item under one of the DLL projects in the Project Overview pane. What might be causing this? The only thing different about this DLL that I can see is that it has had some new dialogs added to it (there should be 82 dialogs in the group - not 80 as indicated by tree-view item). |

I'm pretty sure I updated the database using the "Force update for unchanged source files" option the first time and they didn't show. However, I have run it again and they are now showing. Is there a known issue that means it pays to always run this option twice? |

I should clarify... the new dialogs are showing in the Project Overview pane, but they are still not showing in the "Changed Source" pane. Should they be? |

So what I don't understand is why some protocol files are being created for DLLs that have no changes, like the PhotoID.dll for example.
The output window results for this file were as follows: Translation data for the file "PhotoID.DLL" (French) updated successfully. 0 new item(s). 0 changed item(s). 0 deleted item(s).
And yet the update resulted in this file being created (it definitely wasn't there before): PhotoID_dll_fr_UpdateProtocol_2011-09-28T23-01-24Z.rwtxlf
NB: I used the "Force updates..." option |
