Hello,
How can I insert a Carriage Return / New Line into a translation? Is there a more "comfortable" way than copying the source text and re-use existing ones?
I already did this, but I'm not sure how I did this. Ctrl/Alt/Shift+Enter do not work.
Regards, Steve

It is true that a "new line" control character cannot be directly entered in the "Target Edit" text field.
There are three options available for adding a new line control character:
1. Copy & Paste
Copy an existing (non-visible) new line control character (e.g., from a text in Notepad or from the RC-WinTrans "Source Text" edit field) and insert/paste it into the "Target Edit" field.
-> Copy (Ctrl+C) and insert with the "Paste" command (Ctrl+V).
2. MS Word
The text in the "Target Text" field can be edited with Microsoft Word. Command: "Tools" | "MS Word" (Available since RC-WinTrans 9.)
In Word you can enter a new line with "Return." Use the "Save" command in Word to write the text back to RC-WinTrans.

Thanks!
Unfortunately Word crashes when I use the second solution. When I use "Tools" | "MS Word" I can edit the text. But when I press "Save" in Word, the text is applied in RC-WinTrans, but Word freezes instantly and "Microsoft Office Word has stopped working" ("Microsoft Office Word funktioniert nicht mehr") is displayed.
I'm using Windows 7 (x86), Word 2003 and RC-WinTrans 9.1.0.991.
I can reproduce this on a second PC with Windows 7 (RC-WinTrans 9.1.0.93, Word 2003). On a third PC with Windows XP (also RC-WinTrans 9.1.0.93, also Word 2003) it works!
So it seems to me, that this only happens on Windows 7.

On Windows 7 we have tested it with MS Word 2007. I cannot confirm if it works for Windows 7 and Word 2003- maybe.
Thank you for your reply. . edited by Support on 09.07.2011
